Local trains Lipany-Plavec, line 188. 
- Freight trains 
Local freight trains on lines Zilina-Cadca(line 127) and Zilina-Bytca(120), joined with diesel 735 (110 run on line, 735 shunts on nonelectrificated tracks in stations) and on Kosice-Michalany(190) and Michalany-Cierna nad Tisou (190), joined with 721 and on Kosice-Margecany(180) solo. On line 190 sometimes replaced by row 140.

- Freight trains 
Used only for local freight trains on Zilina-Vrutky-Liptovsky Mikulas (180), Puchov-Luky pod Makytou (125, nights). On lines Kysak-Presov (188) and Banovce nad Ondavou-Velke Kapusany (195) together with diesel loco clas 721. The first made - 121.001 is mostly used on Zilina-Vrutky.

- Freight trains 
Double loco (Bo'Bo'+Bo'Bo)', 1524 mm gauge locomotives. They are based in depot Haniska pri Kosiciach (near Kosice, on line 160). Pull trains on wide gauge railway to Uzhorod, its length is 87,16 km on Slovakian part. In Haniska there are located big ironworks "VSZ Kosice", so there is carried mostly coal and iron ore from Russia (or Ukraine...). On trains from Haniska 125.8 are changed in frontier station Matovce with ukrainian locos. On this trains they run allways coupled (really two double locos), with trains in direct from Ukraine in one section (Trebisov-Slancik) also with another pushing loco (back running light). With coal trains to power station Vojany (only 10 km from frontier) run this locos allready from Uzhorod, but this trains are pulled also by ukrainian VL 11M. There are 42 locos, one pair (809+810) was destroyed during collision. All in dark green livery with wide yellow strip. That wide-gauge railway runs alongside normal railway between Vysna Mysla-Slanec-Trebisov (line 190)-Banovce nad Ondavou (line 191)-Velke Kapusany (line 195) and on to the frontier. Between Haniska and Vysna Mysla it is going alone not to go over Kosice.

Double loco (Bo'Bo'+Bo'Bo)', all located in Spisska Nova Ves depot. 

  • Presov/Kosice-Zilina(180)-Horni Lidec(120, 125)/Ostrava(127) (Czech republic) - most of the freight trains 
  • Presov-Plavec-Muszyna (Poland) (188) - all freight trains, also banking between Lipany and Plavec. 
  • Kosice-Cierna nad Tisou (190)/Banovce nad Ondavou (191) - some through trains from/to Zilina direction 
  • Kosice-Haniska pri Kosiciach (160) - some through trains from/to Zilina direction

  • Cierna nad Tisou - Cop (Ukraine) - both fast train pairs 
  • Sometimes this row could be used in case of breakdown of some another loco, if there is any another to take it...For example on Kosice-Zilina or Kysak-Plavec.

  • Banovce nad Ondavou - Matovce - still could be seen heading local freight train (together with diesel loco 721). 
  • Kosice-Cierna nad Tisou (190) - only as spare unit for local freight trains, again with class 721. 
  • Zilina - service inside junction (also 140.001 was seen there in May 1999)

    All located in Zilina depot, used for most of local trains on Zilina-Kosice (180), Zilina-Cadca (127), Puchov-Horni Lidec, sometimes also on Vrutky-Martin (171).. 
    Czech railways' class 162(from Bohumin depot) is scheduled to/from Zilina with this trains : 336, 338, 339, 437, 2907, 2938; to/from Puchov with trains 3211 and 3282 on workdays. 

    163 

    - Passenger trains 
    All located in Kosice depot, used sometimes on the same lines as the row 162 (line 180) and on Kosice-Cierna nad Tisou (190) and Kosice-Banovce nad Ondavou (190, 191).

    - Passenger trains 
    Only Czech railways' class (from Bohumin depot). Scheduled to Vrutky on trains 337-391 and back with trains 1842 and 330 and to/from Kosice with a pair 421/420. 

    182, 183 

    - Freight trains 
    Used on the same lines as row 131, but not so frequently. 183 mostly used for pushing in some mountanious parts : Puchov-Horni Lidec (125), Kysucke Nove Mesto-Czech republic (127), Ruzomberok-Strba, Spisska Nova Ves-Strba (180). Nearly all the freight trains running over Strba have the pushing loco on the rear.

    - Shunting 
    Small accumulate loco, used for shunting in depots. For example in Plesivec, Zvolen,.. 

    210 

    - Freight trains 
    Used for all local freight trains on electrified lines of the south-west part of the country : lines number 110, 114, 116, 120 (in part Bratislava-Trencianska Tepla), 130, 133, 135, 150. On line 130 together with diesel class 742, on line 150, in part Zvolen-Levice together with diesel class 721. 
    - Shunting 
    In some statioins in south-west Slovakia (for example Trencianska Tepla, Zvolen).

    Based only on Czech railways (Brno). Still pulls summer season fast train 1278/1279 even for Hungarian Komarom.

    All trains crossing border to Kuty, where they are changed with slovak class 240.

    Used for lot of local trains on lines 110, 120 (only some trains in part Bratislava-Trencianska Tepla), 130, 135, 150. On lines 130 and 150 also with some fast trains.

    Used for all fast trains Bratislava-Zilina and Bratislava-Zilina-Kosice, except trains pulled by class 350. On Bratislava-Zilina (line 120) used also for all regional trains, which are running over current changing (between Belusa and Puchov). 
    Now hauls also a pair 277/278 to/from Praha 
    Pair 232/233 on line Sturovo-Bratislava-Kuty-Bohumin(CD) (lines 130, 110) is hauled with Czech railways' loco of this class.

    Narrow gauge rack electric multiple units made by Brown-Boveri, used on Strba-Strbske Pleso (line 182) in High Tatra mountains.

    Narrow gauge electric multiple units, used on TEZ (Tatra's electric light railways) lines Poprad-Strbske Pleso (line 183) and Stary Smokovec-Tatranska Lomnice (184).

    Traditionally scheduled on lot of trains on lines Kosice-Cierna nad Tisou (190) and Kosice-Presov (180, 188). Now also used on Kosice-Poprad (180), with one weekend morning train it runs even for Strba. With recent timetable change this units were recalled from Zilina surrounding, same as from international relation Puchov-Horni Lidec.

    Used for all the trains on lines Kuty-Trnava-Galanta (116, 133) and Leopoldov-Sered (133). Some trains between Bratislava and Leopoldov.

    Only some pieces, used for shunting in depots, but already very seldom.

    Narrow gauge, only one of each - 701.951 and 702.951 in depot Poprad, used for maintenance trains on TEZ (Tatra's electric railways) (see class 420.9). 701.952 and 701.953 are used on small narrow gauge (1000 mm) line Pionier-Cermel on periphery of the town Kosice. Now it's owned operated by City transportation company.

    Narrow gauge, only two - 706.951 and 706.952 in depot Poprad, used for maintenance trains on TEZ (Tatra's electric railways) (see class 420.9).

    - Shunting 
    14 locos should be in regular traffic, shunting in Turany (line 180), Liptovska Tepla (line 180), for depot-shunting in Bratislava (included 710.001), Spisska Nova Ves, Kosice, Haniska pri Kosiciach, Trencianska Tepla, maybe in Vrutky and Nove Zamky. The most beatiful - in green livery are 710.001 in Bratislava (depot Vychod) and some two in Spisska Nova Ves, the others are red with small or wide yellow strip...

    Possible to see it shunting in Vrutky in Kralovany, but only as reserve, when the 742 is broken. Also seen in Liptovsky Mikulas. Some others located in Poprad and Matovce, but also only as reserve.

    In Slovakia there are

    Now are all Slovak 725s officially withdrawn. 725.055 stayed in depot Presov as historical.

    Probably definitely finished, could be used as spare unit on Zilina-Cadca (127) and Zilina-Bytca (120) together with electric class 110. Lot of others are in another depots (Zvolen, Filakovo, Tisovec), but broken, not-used.

    one in Zilina on workdays.

    - Freight trains 
    Often used on regional lines in west part of the country. Used for local trains on lines 112, 113, Devinske Jazero-Stupava (branch of the line 110 without passenger traffic) 117, Piestany-Vrbove (branch of the line 120 without passenger traffic), 124, 130 (together with electric class 210), 142, 143, 150 (in part Nove Zamky-Levice). 742.001 is based in Bratislava-Vychod depot.

    - Passenger trains 
    Together with similar class 754 very often on non-electrified lines. Used on these lines : 128 (nearly all trains), 129 (fast train pair), 131 (two pairs of international semifast trains), 140 (nearly all passenger trains), 141 (fast trains), 160 (with lot of local and fast trains, together with the class 754), 164 (even to Hungarian Hatvan, with some trains, the others are pulled here by Hungarian M 41), 170 (with lot of trains in part Zvolen-Cervena Skala), 171 (only some trains), 172 (only two pairs), 191 (some trains on Banovce n.O.-Humenne), 193 (only a few trains).

The class 752 is set on Lucenec-Velky Krtis(161), Presov-Humenne(193), Humenne-Medzilaborce (191), Presov-Bardejov (194), and Medzilaborce-Lupkow (three pairs of freight trains per a day, each with two 752)

    Used on Zilina-Rajec (126) , Leopoldov-Kozarovce (141, not too strong traffic), Prievidza-Horna Stubna (145, also for pushing), Filakovo-Somoskoujfalu(MÁV)(164), Zvolen-Filakovo (160), Kosice-Hidasnemeti(MÁV)(169), Brezno-Cervena Skala (170), Zvolen-Vrutky both over Banska Bystrica (170, 172, 171) and over Kremnica (171), from Pribovce and Banska Bystrica up to Cremosne (on line 172) often with another one pushing loco, also from Pribovce up to Kremnicke Bane on line 171. Also often used for pushing around Zvolen.

    - Already only 776.019, as museum loco, owned by one museum company. 776.015 was also used for displaying and was in rather good condition but in autumn 1995 was suddenly dismantled.... 

    781 

    - Freight trains 
    Very bad situation - any "Sergej" isn't regularly set. If some(781.363) will be set, then on pushing services on Zvolen-Krivan (160). In regular traffic they were replaced around Zvolen by class 770/1. 
    781.368 of Margecany depot could be seen there with maintenance trains. 
    781.168 and 781.312 are based in Vrutky, used for nostalgic trains, exceptionally could be seen in regular traffic on lines for Banska Bystrica, e.g. Zvolen. 

    781.8

    - Freight trains 
    wide gauge modification of 781 class. Some time ago all were moved to normal-gauge depots with bogies changing and there were most of them withdrawn. After it were 4 normal-gauge locos moved back to wide-gauge depot Haniska priKosiciach and got wide-gauge bogies...(for example 781.827 is former 781.218...) They should be used for maintenance trains on wide gauge line (see the row 125.8).

    Rather often used on the west and south, but not only there...Used for regional trains on lines (without notice=for all the trains) : 112, 113, 114, 115, 117, 121, 131 (except that two international semifast trains), 134, 136, 141, 142, 144, 145, 151, 152, 153 (all trains running Cata-Sahy), 154, 160 (only some trains on Filakovo-Plesivec, all trains on Lenartovce-Banreve(MÁV)), 161, 162, 163, 164(only pair 21310/21313), 165, 166, 167, 168, 174, 186, 187, 191(most of the trains on Humenne-Medzilaborce) 192,196

    Recently one coach was used for employees transportation between station Haniska pri Kosiciach and its depot , but it's uncertain now.
